KidStomp is a program Stephanie Miller  and I started in Richardson ISD based loosely off the Broadway Stomp Troop.  Students perform complementary rhythm patters using everything from piano benches to trash cans, pots and pans, and eating utensils.

As KidStomp grew in popularity, we watched our building discipline improve.  Discipline events in our building from year one to year two dropped 50%.

Due to the success of this program at the Elementary Level, I was invited to be a guest clinician at the Texas Music Educator's Association State Convention in 2003.  A select group of elementary students were showcased, and we were asked to perform on the steps of the Texas Capitol Building.
